Ukraine arrests 170 railcars with Russian, Belarusian fertilizers
MOSCOW, Feb 6 (PRIME) -- The Ukrainian law enforcement authorities have arrested 170 railcars with fertilizers of Russia’s Uralkali and Belarusian company Belaruskali worth almost U.S. $2.7 million, the Security Service of Ukraine said in a statement on Monday.
“Arrest was imposed on a wholesale batch of mineral fertilizers produced in Russia and Belarus. The amount of arrested property stands at 11,800 tonnes worth almost 100 million hryvnias, or $2.7 million. The cargo was owned by two foreign companies – Uralkali and Belaruskali,” the statement read.
The law enforcers arrested the railcars under the case of tax avoidance, the service added.
